5 Signs You Need a Wheel Alignment

Does your vehicle seem to drift to one side or does it even feel like it is pulling heavily? Or does your steering wheel seem to be just a bit off-center while driving straight? You likely need a wheel alignment to straighten things out! A vehicle with bad alignment can decrease your MPGs and it makes driving dangerous. Cars can become misaligned if tires are not balanced, if you hit a curb or bad pothole or after a minor or major auto accident. If you experience any of these signs your car needs an alignment be sure to bring your vehicle to a repair shop right away to have the service completed.

A bad alignment can cause a vehicle to vibrate constantly as it drives down the highway. This happens because the tires are pulling against each other, seemingly trying to get your car to go in any direction but straight.

Uneven Tire Wear

If you feel like your car isn't driving right, conduct a visual tire check to see if they are properly wearing or if the tread looks uneven. If you notice that one tire is wearing in a different pattern than the rest then you likely need a wheel alignment.

Crooked Steering Wheel

One of the most common signs you need an alignment is if you have to hold the steering wheel at an awkward angle when trying to make your vehicle go straight.

Soft Pulling

If your car tends to drift to one side while cruising down the street you're likely being forced to the side because of wheels that are off balance or misaligned.

Hard Pulling

Alignment that is very bad will cause you to notice it trying to go left or right automatically, with some force. You should never have to hold your vehicle's steering wheel in an odd position or keep turning it to make your vehicle travel straight.

Never wait to have alignment issues resolved, as it can be very unsafe to drive a car that is having these sorts of issues.
